BIO
Shawn Elliott is Assistant Vice President, Talent Management – North America (Life) for Munich Re. In this capacity, he is responsible for ensuring we have talent strategies in place to support the current and future needs of the organization. His focus is primarily on performance management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement. Shawn shares his time between the US and Canadian client groups, located in Atlanta and Toronto respectively.
Prior to joining Munich Re in April 2010; Shawn was an independent Talent Management Consultant. Before that, he led the Talent Acquisition function at high profile Canadian companies known for their innovation in talent best practices, including TELUS Communications, TELUS Mobility, and Research in Motion.
Shawn graduated from Sir Sanford Fleming College, specializing in Human Resources Management in 1993, and received his CHRP designation (Certified Human Resources Professional) in 2001.
