6 WAYS TO ENGAGE AND RETAIN TOMORROW'S LEADERS

There is growing concern that young leadership prospects are opting out - either starting their own businesses or declining promotions. Is this the end of “Leadership” as we know it?
Eric will explore the issue of young employees and leadership based on DECODE’s 15 years of experience and proprietary research, including the “Lifestage DNA” study (conducted in Canada, the United States and the UK), and the “Canada’s Top Campus Employer” study conducted annually since 2004 with over 16,000 College and University students each year.

Eric Meerkamper is President of DECODE (www.decode.net) – a global strategic consultancy with offices in Toronto, Canada and London, UK that merges research and innovation to solve challenges specifically related to younger generations. Since 1994, DECODE has completed over 500 projects for the world’s leading businesses and governments.  Eric is a frequent speaker on attracting and retaining young employees and the co-author of DECODE’S Top Campus Employers Report (www.topcampusemployers.ca), an annual national study on campus recruitment. Eric holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and an Honours BA in International Political Science, from the University of Western Ontario. Eric is the Chair of the Daily Bread Food Bank (www.dailybread.ca) and Cofounder and Chair of the Centre for Social Innovation (www.socialinnovation.ca).
