Jimmy Choo Proud Of Duchess Catherine Connection

jimmy choo was extremely "proud" to see the Duchess of Cambridge wearing a pair of his designs.

The Malaysian-born designer hopes to add Duchess Catherine to his list of VIP customers which include Gwyneth Paltrow, Michelle Williams and Charlize Theron and would love if she asked him to design a bespoke pair of shoes.

jimmy choo sale admitted his hopes that Catherine will request her own custom made pair.

Meanwhile he has also praised the royal for having her own fashion identity and promoting British designers including having her wedding dress made by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen.

Speaking about the royal - who was known as Kate Middleton before her wedding - Jimmy said: "Kate knows how to choose her own image. It's very important she promotes UK designers. "

Catherine's fashion sense has received praise in the past and she was hailed as "amazing" by top Hollywood stylist Nikki Pennie, who has styled stars including Kendra Wilkinson, Shenae Grimes, Cat Deeley and Madonna.

Writing on fashionista.com, Nikki said: "She's amazing; she's wonderful."

She also praised Catherine's sister, Pippa, adding: "Both the Middletons - they're in the same age group as me and it was very much our culture growing up that we shop at the high street stores.
