POSITION SUMMARY
As a key member of the Global Mobility team, the Specialist, Global Relocation Programs will be responsible for delivery of RIM's relocation programs, both domestic and international. The successful candidate will work with other members of the team to develop and implement strategies, based on benchmarking, engagement surveys and other sources, to continue the evolution of RIM's relocation programs. Working closely with internal functional and business teams as well as partnering with external providers, the Specialist will offer consulting services and ultimately deliver these programs to ensure a highly efficient and smooth experience for participants.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Primary point of contact with respect to assigned cases and/or general questions from HR colleagues, management and employees regarding domestic and international relocations (newhire and transfers), providing subject matter expertise on all components of the relocation process (physical goods move, tax, immigration, destination services and government compliance)
• Provides consultancy services and guidance to internal stakeholders as needed to arrive at effective, efficient and compliant mobility solutions
• Accountable for data capture, file management (via hard copy, software tools) and reporting on relocation metrics
• Take a lead role into the continuous development of relocation programs, based on collection & analysis of key metrics, measures, industry standards and employee feedback; assigned prime on relocation and/or mobility team related projects
• Partner with and manage external service providers to ensure best in class & seamless service delivery, identify and resolve any issues or escalate as required
• Develop and deliver presentations, lead creation and/or modification of best practice and updating policy related documentation, engaged in Organizationa Development and/or Business Unit management team meetings as required, represent relocation team on cross-functional projects
• Within scope of role, enforces policy and interprets questions related to RIM's Relocation programs
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• 5-7 years of overall HR experience with 2-3 years (or equivalent experience) of specific knowledge/insight into employee relocation programs highly desired
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with professional and managerial level staff
• Proven successful results managing projects from idea creation to completion, coordinating activities among various functional departments and external service providers
• An innovative multi-tasker with ability to prioritize, resolving issues using defined internal practice and past precedent
• Organized problem solver with a proven ability to deliver results within a dynamic, fast paced environment
• Works creatively with client requirements; having a 'can do' attitude ensuring that all parties achieve success
• Experience working with and managing external vendors (issue resolution, process optimization) and building strong business relationships
• Bachelor degree in Business discipline or equivalent proven experience, superior communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
